About

Our Mission: The Friends of the Sandy Springs Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to the enhancement and enrichment of the Sandy Springs Regional Library

The Friends of the Sandy Springs Library (FOSSL) was formed in 1983 by a small group of book-loving library patrons, intent on continuing the advancement of our community learning center.

FOSSL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to providing financial assistance to our Sandy Springs Library. Monies contributed by FOSSL support expanded programs like reading and learning services for children, teens and adults, as well as funding for new book and equipment purchases. In addition to our monetary contributions, we assist with physical improvements to the building, such as new carpeting, new shelving and reupholstering of furniture.

FOSSL raises funds through memberships, direct donations, the sale of donated books in our Friends Book Store (located in the library).

WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

Please consider:

  • Volunteering to work sorting incoming donations or for a regular shift in our book store.
  • Becoming a member.
  • Making a Donation.

Annual membership in FOSSL is available at our bookstore, and volunteer opportunities abound.
