
The Friends’ Book Store is located at the Johnson Ferry Rd. entrance to the library. In the Book Store, you’ll find a large variety of new and nearly new condition books and other items for sale at bargain prices.

Most adult books are priced $2 – $6, with some special books, such as current bestsellers, signed and collectible books, art books and coffee table books, priced higher. Children’s and Young Adult books are priced $.50 and up. Shop regularly, as new books are shelved weekly, including Recent Bestsellers and Book Store Volunteer Recommendations. Book Donations
We are accepting donations of good quality books. You can drop them off when you come to shop, or they can be left on the table outside the book store if the store is not open. Materials acceptable for donation include:
- Adult fiction bestsellers published within the last ten years
- Young adult fiction (in particular, books that are a part of a series)
- Science fiction
- Children’s picture books and chapter books
- Adult, young adult, and children’s nonfiction books including history, biography, art, photography, science, travel, sports, gardening, hobbies and crafts, humor, religion, self-help, entertaining, and cookbooks
- Business, politics, and current events books published within the last five years
- Graphic novels, manga, and comic books
- Audio books
- Newly released vinyl records
- Recent magazines of all types
We are particularly seeking books of local and Southern interest, Civil War history, classics, author-signed books, and collectible books.
All donations should be in very good or better condition. Please do not bring us any items that are stained, mildewed, dirty, torn, or marked up.
The following items are not acceptable for donation, and we suggest Goodwill Industries or the Salvation Army as possible recipients: ex-library books, pocket paperbacks, encyclopedias, textbooks, Readers Digest condensed books, audio and video tapes, and high school and college yearbooks.
