News from your Sandy Springs Library

The Sandy Springs Library was once again the #1 Branch in Summer Reading Program Registrations.  

There is now a blood pressure monitoring machine in the Sandy Springs Library.  

The Fall Festival will be November 1.

FOSSL Book Store
   
The FOSSL Book Store is open from 10:00 am to 5:45 pm Monday through Saturday.  For information on the hours the library is open, visit Sandy Springs Branch | Fulton County Library System (fulcolibrary.org)

Most books are priced 50 cents to $6, with some special books, such as art books and coffee table books, priced higher. We have CD Audio Books for $3 and up.  Shop regularly, as new books are shelved weekly, including Recent Bestsellers and Book Store Volunteer Recommendations. Check out our regular sales carts at the front of the store.  For announcements on sales and upcoming events such as Author Talks, check us out on Facebook!
Donate or Help Yourself to Seeds at the Library 
        
Donate seeds for gardening to go into the Seed Library, which is now available in the Magazine Area.  Anyone with a library card will be able to select seeds to take home.  Packets or baggies of seeds should be labeled and can be dropped off at the Book Store and will be given to the Library Staff.
Book Donations
We are accepting donations of good quality books.  You can drop them off when you come to shop, or they can be left on the table outside the book store if the store is not open.  Materials acceptable for donation include:
Adult fiction bestsellers published within the last ten years
  Young adult fiction (in particular, books that are a part of a series)
  Children’s picture books and chapter books
Adult, young adult, and children’s nonfiction books including
history, biography, art, photography, science, travel, sports,
gardening, hobbies and crafts, humor, religion, self-help,
entertaining, and cookbooks 
Business and current events books published within the last five years
Graphic novels and comic books 
Audio books
Current and newly released vinyl records
Recent magazines of all types

We are particularly seeking books of local and Southern interest,
classics, signed books, large print books, and collectible books.

All donations should be in very good or better condition. Please do not bring us any items that are stained, mildewed, dirty, torn, or marked up. 

The following items are not acceptable for donation and we suggest Goodwill lndustries or the Salvation Army as possible recipients: encyclopedias textbooks Readers Digest condensed books audio cassettes video tapes high school and college yearbooks
